Cowichan Valley Supportive Housing
This drawing is an approximation of what we intend to construct on the two sites and is subject to change during the municipal approvals process.
BC Housing is working with the Municipality of North Cowichan and the City of Duncan to build two new, permanent, purpose-built supportive housing buildings in the Cowichan Valley.
This housing is needed to ensure some of the Cowichan Valley’s most vulnerable people can access a basic and fundamental human right: housing. The homes will provide safe, secure housing with wrap-around supports for up to 100 community residents who are currently experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the region. This housing is an opportunity for people to leave the streets, parks and shelter system for safe and stable housing and move towards improved quality of life.
Construction of the two new buildings is expected in early 2021.Read more about each project by clicking the pages below.
