(Crosstown) 584 Burnside Road East, Victoria

A modern BC Housing building with wood and white panels, surrounded by landscaping and trees under a blue sky.

BC Housing has created 54 homes with support services in the new Crosstown building at 584 Burnside Road East in Victoria. This project represents a major step forward in our efforts to address and prevent homelessness in Greater Victoria.

These new supportive homes will open on April 1, 2025. This building also includes 100 affordable rental homes that opened to residents in February 2025.

About Crosstown Supportive Housing

The supportive homes at Crosstown are deeply affordable studio and one-bedroom apartments for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and need supports to maintain their housing. These include:

  • 24/7 staffing
  • Meal programs
  • Life and employment skills training
  • On-site health and wellness support, including pathways to treatment and recovery

These homes will be offered to people from the local area through a community-based assessment process that matches people’s needs with the support available. This process ensures a balanced mix of residents in the building. BC Housing will prioritize people currently living at temporary supportive housing sites in Victoria. All residents will sign a tenancy agreement and pay rent.
