Responding to the need for housing in Prince George

BC Housing plans to buy and rezone 1616 Queensway, currently the Fraser Inn, and 1650 Queensway, the current site of Direct Art. If successful, the site will provide 28-30 permanent supportive homes in Prince George.

Our ideas for 1616 & 1650 Queensway

We are at the beginning of the planning process. Development plans are not confirmed but we expect to renovate both 1616 Queensway and 1650 Queensway. Together, the two buildings will provide 28-30 supportive homes plus outdoor space for tenant use and parking.

A Virtual Open House is live from April 3-24, 2023. We invite neighbours and community members to read through the self-guided presentation. They will learn more about the proposed supportive housing for 1616 & 1650 Queensway.
