Kamloops – Glenfair Seniors Housing – 1100 Glenfair Drive

rendering of a proposed housing development with four modern apartment buildings surrounded by greenery and hills.

Overview

BC Housing plans to redevelop Glenfair Seniors Housing at 1100 Glenfair Drive in Kamloops. The site will replace the 60-year-old buildings with modern, energy efficient homes.

The site will include:

  • Replacement of 80 subsidized rental homes for seniors

  • 260 new purpose-built rentals for moderate and middle incomes

  • Four buildings (four phases) up to six storeys tall

All Glenfair Seniors’ Housing residents will be supported throughout the redevelopment process, and their housing remains secure.

The land will continue to be owned by BC Housing.

Housing Type: Redevelopment

The Glenfair Seniors Redevelopment is part of the Provincial Redevelopment Program, which aims to redevelop provincially-owned properties to create a variety of housing options for individuals and families of low, middle and moderate incomes. The goal is to renew the existing low-income housing while increasing the number of purpose-built rental options for moderate and middle incomes.
